Half-Day Sit
Zen
Three-hour online zazen sit focused on connecting with stillness and refuge. Open to beginners and experienced practitioners.
About this retreat
A short online sit built around the Zen practice of zazen—upright sitting meditation—with an emphasis on finding stillness and what Zen calls the "still point." Three hours is long enough to move past the noise of getting settled, but accessible for people working around a schedule or new to sitting practice.
Online zazen sits work best when you have a quiet space and can commit to sitting for the full duration without distractions. You'll be on your own cushion, following the timing from the stream or Zoom feed. There's no dokusan (private meeting with a teacher) in a format like this, so the work is internal—sitting with what arises during those hours of practice.
