Ancient Dragon Zen Gate is a Soto Zen sangha in Chicago's Lincoln Square neighborhood and a Branching Stream of San Francisco Zen Center, practicing in the lineage of Shunryu Suzuki Roshi. The community offers daily zazen, monthly daylong sittings, and multi-day sesshin both in-person and online. Guiding teacher Hogetsu leads the practice periods and sesshin. The temple welcomes drop-ins for zazen and offers personal meditation instruction by appointment.
