About this retreat
Great Aspiration Sesshin is a traditional six-day intensive at Zen Mountain Monastery. The retreat runs continuously in silence, with a structured daily schedule built around extended zazen periods, formal chanting services, and oryoki (formal eating practice). You'll also participate in work practice and meet privately with a teacher.
This is a full residential sesshin—you'll be on the monastery grounds for the duration, living and practicing alongside other participants. The center has not yet published the teacher's name, experience level requirements, or lodging details. Contact Zen Mountain Monastery directly for information about accommodations, what to bring, and whether prior sitting experience is expected.
Schedules can change — confirm details on Zen Mountain Monastery's website.
