About this retreat
Jukai (lay ordination) is a formal commitment to Zen practice and the precepts—a turning point in many practitioners' relationships with the tradition. This sesshin, held at Jikoji, culminates in that ceremony, so it differs from a typical sesshin in having a specific liturgical aim.
The retreat brings together practitioners from three centers: Jikoji Zen Center, No Barriers Zen, and Santa Barbara Zen Center.
